Default So I changed my secondary, it was scary

My first REAL character was (and is) my Necro/Monk. I finally ascended her today, and thought "I only use about 3 healing skills, maybe I should change it up and try another secondary".

I went mesmer. I figured that it'd be nice to finally own the shit out of things the way mez'ers own me all the time (chaos storm, backfire, empathy, and our favorite... distraction).

But then it dawned on me how much I missed my own healing. How I loved being able to run from a fight, heal up, then run back in, and play assistant healer until the fight got back under control (at which time, I go back to cursing and summoning).

I did have a little problem getting back to monk. Though during the second battle, I did use the echo skill for raising minions (things were dying fast enough where soul reaping was kicking in heavy, minions and enemies). I came back and just cleaned house.

I'm back to my monk btw. Maybe one day I'll check it out again, but I'm just so stuck in my current play style with this char (that's a good thing though).

Raped. I wasn't expecting that. All of a sudden, the ground is pooping out scarabs all over the place.

Another shot of the same rape fest.

I came back angry. I swear to god, the WHOLE battle I was casting SOMETHING. Be it mark of pain (echo'd that to start the fight), or minions. There was enough soul reaping that i was always in energy.

Scarabs are tricky. You can't inflict conditions on them like weakness cause they'll plague touch it back to your team mates.

20 spiders spawn, I managed to kill 1. After that I killed 1 or 2 before respawning then heading back out.
(Yes it did take alot of time & 2 times before I managed to go wrong way from respawn portal so I ended up in town & resetting the spider spawn).

Lets just say I was very Glad to be an Elementalist when I did this quest... worst part is that right when you get there the guy you need to kill is above ground, then he goes underground right as you get in range and then hell awakens...

Those guys have chiblians, right? If not, then I wish I could do that with my Monk. Zealot's Fire/Mark of Protection/Shielding Hands/Divine Boon/Balthazar's Spirit/Balthazar's Aura = mmmmm...

Correct on the chillblains. Bad stuff. And when I first started fighting these guys (when my necro first got to amnoon), I would use enfeebling blood, only to later realize it was being plague touched to my team mates, lol. Bad stuff.

Isn't that the monk quest? Can't do the quest for the profession you already have =)

sorry for OT question dude, but did you get your level bar above health/energy through advanced customize or was there a click option? That seems a pretty good place for it, nice and out of the way (been playing with customization lately)

When you click the customize option you can stretch and drag pretty much anything.

Bah, that quest was easy. I circled around to the far side and then moved in slowly, never had to deal with more than about 5 at once. Now I helped a friend do the ranger path quest, that one was a nightmare.

OMFG! Seriously! All those wind rider things!!!! I thought I was seeing things when I saw them all and figured the map glitched and put them all together to start with. But nooooooooooooooooooooo. That was just INSANE.

Personally, I found every profession quest easy...

With the ranger one, I saw the amount of monsters..and just decided to avoid them, when that didn't work I charged straight through the centre of the group and started attacking the boss.

Luckily, my hecnhmen managed to survive the hordes of wind riders ( ) and helped me take him down..when he was dead, it was just a case of teleporting back to seekers using the map.

Have done all the profession change quests (except Ranger as that is my primary and I found Monk the toughest too. The kicker is I don't want to pony up the skill points yet to get the presearing skills for those secondariesas I am still gathering elites. Wish we could quest for those as well.
